Wednesday Words – Musical Mnemonic

I enjoy playing instruments. I am lousy at reading music. Show me a note and I’ll struggle to name it. However I can show you its location on the piano, keyboard, claranet, and guitar. but the name… I’ll have to struggle remembering the mnemonics of my early musical education. If the note you showed me is on a line I’ll have to think Every Good Boy Does Fine while counting the lines upward.  Just as Roy helps me remember the rainbow those good boys help we remember the name of notes.
